Nike of Samothrace

Esta figura esta modela en pasta DAS, y fue realizada como parte de un pequeño curso que di acerca de este material, al que muchos desestiman por ser muy peculiar para trabajar.
La pasta DAS tiene sus ventajas y desventajas, es un material al que hay que tener pasiencia en trabajarlo, pues no se maneja como plastilina normal u otro material, mi recomendacion es usar como si fuera barro o algo parecido, con mucha agua para evitar su secado mientras modelamos; yo trabajo por partes durante varios dias, pues tratar de hacer una pieza de un solo intento no resulta muy bien cuando son piezas con mucho detalle.

La figura se pinto al final con acrílicos negros, latón y bronce

En la historia del original:
La Victoria alada de Samotracia, también llamada la Victoria de Samotracia, es una escultura de mármol del siglo segundo antes de Cristo de la diosa griega Nike (Victoria). Desde 1884, ha sido un lugar destacado en el Museo del Louvre y es una de las esculturas más célebres del mundo.

El producto de un escultor desconocido, la victoria se cree que datan de aproximadamente el 190 aC. Cuando se descubrió por primera vez en la isla de Samotracia (en griego, Σαμοθρακη - Samothraki) y publicado en 1863 se sugirió que la Victoria fue erigida por el general macedonio Demetrio I Poliorcetes después de su victoria naval en Chipre entre 295 y 289 antes de Cristo.

The Winged Victory of Samothrace, also called the Nike of Samothrace, is a 2nd century BC marble sculpture of the Greek goddess Nike (Victory). Since 1884, it has been prominently displayed at the Louvre and is one of the most celebrated sculptures in the world.

The product of an unknown sculptor, the Victory is believed to date to approximately 190 BC. When first discovered on the island of Samothrace (in Greek, Σαμοθρακη — Samothraki) and published in 1863 it was suggested that the Victory was erected by the Macedonian general Demetrius I Poliorcetes after his naval victory at Cyprus between 295 and 289 BC.
